SALVATION ARMY - KROC COMMUNITY CENTER

The design arranges spaces for monitoring the exterior entrances, corridors, and restrooms from one location. The construction documents reflected the preliminary design for the exterior of the facility to match the brick veneer of the adjacent academy buildings. The gymnasium walls are CMU construction with ceiling composed of exposed Tectum roof deck and steel structure painted white for light reflectance. The court floor surface is Nike floor by Connor Sports Flooring Corp. All rooms outside the gymnasium are composed of metal stud walls with either gypsum board, fiberboar for moderate impact, or Fiberbond VHI for high impact areas or Dens-Shield for tile backing, Densglass for exterior sheathing or CMU painted. Acoustical tile ceilings are 2'x2'. The floor covering varies from painted concrete, sealed sawcut concrete, to carpet. The chapel ceiling is painted gypsum board.
