THIS DESIGN ANALYSIS REFLECTS BLAIR REMY’S INTERPRETATION OF CRITERIA CONTAINED IN THE STATEMENT OF WORK FOR ARCHITECT AND ENGINEER SERVICES FOR FEMA CORPS 900 AREA ADMINISTRATION BUILDING RENOVATION AND ADDITION (BUILDING 136) AND BUILDINGS 210 AND 78 ORIGINALLY CONSTRUCTED AS BARRACKS. BOTH EXISTING FACILITIES WERE CONSTRUCTED IN 1989 AND ARE LOCATED ON WHAT WAS PREVIOUSLY FORT MCCLELLAN. THE 900 AREA WILL BE A CDP LODGING COMPLEX WHICH INCLUDES DORMITORIES AND AN ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING.

SITTING EMPTY FOR APPROXIMATELY 20 YEARS, THE ADMINISTRATION BUILDINGS WERE PURCHASED IN FY14 BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS) AND THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY (FEMA). BUILDING 136 IS THE ADMINISTRATIVE FACILITY AND WILL RECEIVE AN APPROXIMATELY 4,000 SF ADDITION TO HOUSE THE KITCHEN, TRAINING AND OFFICE SPACE FOR THE CDP LODGING COMPLEX. MAJOR FEATURES OF THE ADMINISTRATION ADDITION/RENOVATION INCLUDE FOUR OFFICES, CONFERENCE ROOM, KITCHEN WITH 18 KITCHENETTES, A CLASSROOM/CAFETERIA FOR 150 STUDENTS, RESTROOMS, WALK‐IN FREEZER, WALK‐IN COOLER, DRY STORAGE AND TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT ROOMS.

CONSTRUCTED IN 1989 AS BARRACKS AND LOCATED ON WHAT WAS PREVIOUSLY FORT MCCLELLAN, APPROXIMATELY 61,000 SF OF BUILDINGS 210 AND 78 WILL BE RENOVATED TO PROVIDE MODERN DORMITORIES FOR THE CDP LODGING COMPLEX.
