THIS PLANNING DOCUMENT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED FOR THE CITY OF ATLANTA TO PROVIDE AN UPDATED MASTER PLAN WHICH INCORPORATES NEW AND FUTURE FACILITIES AS WELL AS IN-DEPTH ASSESSMENTS OF THE CURRENT PARKING IN THE SOUTH CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND FLOW OF EXISTING SIDEWALKS.

THE AREA DEVELOPMENT PLAN SHOWS THE FOLLOWING NEW FACILITIES AND A PARKING STUDY HAS ALSO BEEN CONDUCTED IN ORDER TO DETERMINE PARKING REQUIREMENTS: A FIVE (5) STORY, 160,000 SF CITY COURTS BUILDING WITH ADJACENT FOUR (4) LEVEL PARKING DECK TO ACCOMMODATE 460 SPACES; A THREE HUNDRED (300) ROOM EIGHT (8) STORY HOTEL WITH ADJACENT EIGHT (8) LEVEL PARKING DECK FOR 1,200 PARKING SPACES; A SIX (6) STORY 180,000 SF OFFICE; A 310,000 SF ATLANTA PUBLIC SCHOOLS ADMINISTRATION FACILITY WITH 160,000 SF OF OFFICE/RETAIL SPACE ADJACENT; AND, POTENTIAL LOCATIONS FOR FUTURE FACILITIES. THE ADP INCLUDES THE STUDY OF AND RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO PEDESTRIAN AND VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ALONG CENTRAL AVE AND GARNETT BLVD.
