THE NEW ADDITION PROVIDES ADDITIONAL SPACE FOR MAINTENANCE, CREW AND EQUIPMENT, AND ADMINISTRATION SPACES FOR VMMT 204 INCLUDING A SEVEN-TON BRIDGE CRANE AND A FABRIC HANGAR DOOR TO MATCH P-651.

BASED PRIMARILY ON THE DESIGN DIRECTION SET FORTH IN PHASES I AND II (HANGARS P-525 AND P-651), THE NEW HANGAR IS 92-FEET DEEP WITH A FREE AND CLEAR VERTICAL HEIGHT OF 39 FEET. MAINTENANCE IS LOCATED ON THE FIRST LEVEL ALONG WITH SHOP SPACE, RESTROOMS AND LOCKERS, AND MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND COMMUNICATIONS EQUIPMENT. AN ELEVATOR WAS INCORPORATED INTO THE PROJECT TO ALLOW TRANSIT BETWEEN THE FIRST AND SECOND LEVELS.

AS AN ADDITION TO PHASES I AND II, THE EXTERIOR OF THE NEW HANGAR MATCHES THE DESIGN, MATERIAL, DIMENSIONS, FINISHES, STYLE, AND COLOR. THE MATERIAL LEVELS OF QUALITY, DURABILITY AND LONGEVITY SPECIFIED ARE EXPECTED TO PROVIDE MANY YEARS OF DEPENDABLE SERVICE.
