Client’s Speak
ACASS (Architect-Engineer Contract Administration Support System) is a government rating system developed as a response to the 1972 Brooks Architect-Engineer Act requiring Federal agencies to select the most highly qualified firms based on demonstrated competence and professional qualifications; and the negotiation of a fair and reasonable price, starting with the highest qualified firm. Hence, the selection of A/E contractors is focused on qualifications, and not the lowest price. Blair Remy consistently receives the highest ranking on our ACASS ratings for our projects. Excerpts from some of the comments on our ACASS ratings follow:
FACILITY MASTER PLAN, ECONOMIC ANALYSIS AND PARKING GARAGE REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT FOR U.S. CENTRAL COMMAND,
MacDill AFB, Florida
“Blair Remy Architects and their team did an exceptional job for a very demanding user that added new requirements to the project at every opportunity. CENTCOM is not the easiest customer /user to work for in light of their mission and constant personnel changes. However, Blair Remy captured the new information and incorporated it with seamless ease from my viewpoint. The user and I, as their customer, were extremely pleased both during the project and with the final results… I offer my highest recommendation for Blair Remy Architects for use on any future government contract.”
Thomas M. Whiteside, Supervisory Architect, USACE Mobile District
REQUIREMENTS DOCUMENT FOR VISITORS QUARTERS, MacDill AFB, Florida
“Blair Remy Architects captured the User’s requirements and presented several schemes and site layouts for the forthcoming 350-room Visitor Quarters.
It was amazing to watch the layouts develop in real time during the user interview. The user would provide a requirement and the architect team would show that requirement on paper back to the user within minutes. The final Requirements Document captured all requirements in both text and graphical formats. Both the user and the government team were impressed and highly satisfied with the entire process; so much so that they have been selected as the design A-E to complete the full design of the project. I highly recommend Blair Remy on future government contracts.”
Gary W. Whigham, Chief Design Branch, USACE Engineering Division
